life Of Green Sea Turtles

The incubation period lasts from 50-70 days, and once hatched the newborn turtles scramble quickly to the ocean. Life is not kind to these newborns, and it is estimated that less than 10% will survive until adulthood. They are the perfect prey for seabirds and large fish. But, if the turtles can make it out to sea and manage to survive within the shelter of large drifts of seaweed, then they have a long, long life ahead of them.
